Common questions, honest answers.

What is hCG?

  • hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) is a naturally occurring hormone that acts similarly to luteinizing hormone (LH). As a prescription medication, it is used for specific reproductive and hormone-related medical indications.

  • Is hCG FDA-approved?

  • Yes. Prescription hCG is FDA-approved for certain specific medical indications, although not every way hCG is prescribed is FDA-approved. Your Oasis provider will determine whether hCG is medically appropriate for your individual needs and discuss when a proposed use is off-label.

  • Can hCG support testosterone production?

  • hCG can stimulate the testes to produce testosterone through LH-like signaling. Whether it is appropriate depends on the underlying reason for low testosterone, fertility goals, current medications, and other health factors.

  • Can hCG be used with testosterone therapy?

  • In some circumstances, a provider may prescribe hCG alongside testosterone therapy, particularly when testicular function or fertility is a consideration. This is individualized and may involve off-label prescribing.

  • What’s the cancellation policy?

  • We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours will incur a 50% fee. If we arrive and are unable to reach you or access the appointment location after a brief grace period, the visit will be considered a no-show and may be charged up to the full service amount. Same-day bookings require a minimum of 4 hours’ notice for any changes. As each appointment is reserved exclusively for you — including provider time and travel — we appreciate your understanding.

  • Are there conditions that disqualify someone?

  • A few. We don’t treat patients during active pregnancy or while breastfeeding (with most formulations). Patients with kidney disease, congestive heart failure, liver disease, history of seizures, or certain blood disorders need a quick conversation with us before booking. If you have a pacemaker or any cardiac device, please mention it when you call. Your pre-visit health screening will catch most of this — we’ll never proceed if it’s not safe.

  • Is hCG right for everyone?

  • No. Your medical history, medications, hormone levels, fertility goals, and potential contraindications should be reviewed before treatment. Oasis provides hCG within a medically supervised program rather than as a self-directed hormone treatment.
